The BAG specification has been in use for conveying and archiving bathymetry, uncertainty, and metadata by a number of Hydrographic Offices for close to 20 years, including by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.noaa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)<\/a>\u00a0Office of Coast Survey, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.metoc.navy.mil\/navo\/navo.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">US Naval Oceanographic Office<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/uk-hydrographic-office\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO)<\/a>, and many others. The format is also used by academic partners around the world.
